MTL Laboratory Director

Dr. Charles Sailey, MD, MS, FCAP


Dr. Sailey obtained dual master degrees in cell biology and biotechnology before medical training. After obtaining his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, he completed residency training in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology at the University of Maryland, followed by fellowship training in Molecular Genetic Pathology at the University of North Carolina. As medical and scientific director of the Molecular Genetic Pathology, Molecular Microbiology, Metabolic Genetics, and Clinical Chemistry laboratories at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, he planned, designed, and coordinated the construction of a human genetics laboratory in 2011. Dr. Sailey has over 40 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presentations, including data presented at national conferences.

Mariko Nakano, PhD


Dr. Mariko Nakano joined the Lab after completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and received her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Washington Dr. Nakano has published her work in multiple peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at national and international conferences.

Stuart Bennett


Stuart Bennett began his career in computer IT sales and marketing, where he held positions in a number of technology companies from small start-ups to larger corporations such as Micron, PC Mall and Underwriter Labs.  He served as Vice President of Sales for Net Enforcers, helping manufacturers such as Sony, Samsung, Pfizer and GE Healthcare protect their products from counterfeiters and online price abusers.  In 2013, he started working directly with companies to promote functional medicine and personal safety in products within the medical marketplace.  As Director of Sales at Xchemistry, Stuart is continuing that mission of healthy living by helping cannabis growers and producers provide certified lab tested products direct to the consumer, helping each person achieve their desired results.
